Fortunately, for Carminda "Mindy" Bandeira, a senior elementary education and earth science major, the transition from vice president of funded groups to President of Student Organization of Kean University has come smoothly.
Kean University is known to be diverse and an environment where cougars can feel comfortable being themselves. Organizations helping students feel more at ease in the university is a student initiative not foreign to Kean. Many students might believe that there is a new addition to the university organizations and that there would be yet another group that supports the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered community.
